    review of rapala r-12

    this is by far the best battery powered fillet knife I’ve ever used been playing fish for 30+ years I have the Bubba knife and this one will run circles around it plus it doesn’t get as hot as the Bubba and it’s lighter and is twice as fast they finally hit one out of the park with this knife great job Rapala

    Very nice results

    I have only filleted 5 nice Red Drum it works great. I bought this because a friend got one last year and we filleted many fish with it. Batteries last surprisingly long and the blades are very sharp.

    The Rapala R12 heavy duty is the fastest filleting knife.

    We use the Rapala R12 HD for filleting fish. It has fast high powered rechargeable batteries (2) you never run out of power. It comes with a beautiful case that has two blades, batteries, recharger. We also slice meat ( no bones) . Friends see it and have ordered one as well.

    For small fish only

    Knife is WAY overrated for its "power"; it cannot get through a lake trout's spine, whereas my smallest bubba blade can. If you're fishing for bluegill or bass, this thing might work for you, but if you're a Lake Michigan fisherman, you'll quickly discover why most charter captains do not use electric knives like this one. For me, a waste of money.

    Great knife, good power

    Great knife.. finally the power that is needed to run thru a limit of speckled trout quickly.. Handle gets a little hot but it is manageable..

    Great fillet knife at a good price
