Great Product
This works great and makes maintaining chlorine levels easy. This is my second IC40. The first unit lasted 13 years before giving up. That's a pretty good run. The only issue with the replacement cell is it mounts upside down from my original one. I wish they would have provided an alternate label overlay option. Its just not right having the words upside down. it almost bugs me enough to rework my plumbing to get it right side up. They changed the flow direction for a reason, so I'm not messing with the flow switch which would also violate the warranty terms.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Time and Cost saver
This is an item that makes life much easier for pool maintenance. This is easy and straight forward to operate and functions as it should. If you do not have a salt water pool, you should at least consider the pros and cons. You basically no longer have to purchase chlorine or conditioner since you are constantly producing and adding chlorine to the pool water. This purchase was to replace a unit that had lasted six years. So for an approximate cost of $100 dollars a year, you have all the chlorine your pool will need. You may have to rarely add salt to the pool at the cost of about $5-6. The unit requires limited cleaning around every 3 months and is otherwise maintenance free. In addition, should the pool get extensive use with increased chlorine demand, you can set the unit to run at 100% capacity for 24 hours and it then will return to the normal. maintenance setting.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Great Chlorine Generator
My original salt pool chlorine generator stopped working as I opened my pool. I was constantly adding chlorine, sweeping and vacuuming algae and spending too much money and time trying to keep my pool clean. The day this generator arrived all the upkeep stopped and I began to enjoy my pool. I had spent over $200.00 on chemicals prior to replacing the old generator, but I don’t have to buy chemicals now. Great Product, Great Price
Product arrived ahead of schedule. Obviously new, in original packaging. Installed the cell and it appears to be working well. The Intellichlor IC40 is a very good product, and this was a very good price. I replaced a 12 year old IC20 and the replacement was simple. Great Product
Guess I have been lucky in that, my Pentair Intellichlor IC40 had lasted right at 10 years. With proper care by cleaning the unit every 3 months as well as the filters it last a long time. I hope my new one will last as long as the last one.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Great brand-new Chlorinator!
I waited a few weeks while the chlorinator was running and so far, it is doing it's job. The pool is crystal clear blue. Also, shipping was accurate with the time stated on the order page. Love this chlorinator
Bought this to replace our old Pentair Intellchlor IC40. Item was brand new and in great condition. Installed and has been running great for two weeks now. Only one small issue and it has nothing to do with functionality of the chlorinator itself. The rubber o-ring that comes with it was not the right size to match up with the piping that connects to it. I don’t know if anyone else has had this problem? Maybe it was just the design of our pool. But we also had the same problem 5 years ago when our pool was designed and our first Pentair chlorinator was installed. Poor quality product despite its expensive price tag
The flow indicator failed after 7 days from installation. This is the 5th Pentair chlorinator in 5 years and the second one to fail in the warranty period. I don't know where to go from here, these things are expensive and I'm unfortunately locked in to a Pentair system with no alternate chlorinator available. Not supplying adequate amounts of chlorine, not working correctly
I've been running this intellichlor now since June and it is proving to be very different to my original IC40 which lasted 10 years; it is doubtful that this one will last a year or two. Right from the beginning I have had to run it at 100% to get only a touch of chlorine which is not adequate enough to chlorinate my 11,000 gallon pool, disappointing as I should be able to have it set at 30% for a brand new cell and the pool should be flooded with chlorine. Also it requires to be cleaned every 30 days to maintain that mediocre amount of chlorine, once again, not what I expected from a brand new cell. The item appeared to be new on arrival so I can't say what the problem is, I have maintained my own pool for years and the water is in perfect condition, could be a little happier if it supplied the right amount of chlorine at 100% but it will wear out quickly at this rate.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf
