Nice addition to GH5
Not sure if I'll use this 100% of the time, as I also love my Tascam DR-70, but for sit-down interviews & such, especially in a casual situation, this thing is perfect. Works well, with little fuss (tho I do find myself tinkering with gain &c. to decrease noise, where I don't have to with the Tascam). Fits right on the hot shoe, & with shotgun on boom attached, everything is ready to go in seconds. Love this thing!Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Remis à neuf

Excellent quality and convenience
Very well designed and built. I like that it interfaces digitally with the camera through the hot shoe with no additional cable from the unit to the GH5. Adds the convenience of a "real" video camera's audio handling to a mirrorless camera's other great advantages. Audio quality seems quite good as well.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Preamps could be quieter, but good otherwise.
The preamps are a little noisy, especially in the +20db setting, but decent overall, and certainly better than most other cameras. It really is convenient to have XLR inputs on the camera for using good mics without having to sync audio to an external recorder.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Occasion

Great unit!
