As a midranger it's been a great device. A solid upgrade from my pixel 3 xl... However as a side by side was possible it's impossible to not notice the 8t's screen isn't quite on the same level, the high refresh rate is great but the way most apps handle the cutout makes it feel like a step back from having a notch.
Size wise it's big. While the p3xl felt at times too big to handle one handed the 8t feels comfortable in one hand even with a case on it while still being close to the same size.
Lastly the battery and casual performance.. This is what made me switch instead of reviewing and flipping... It actually lasts days (about a day with moderate activity) after daily driving and loading it with a cluster of wasteful apps I've kept on my devices over the years the 8t surpassed expectations through an unfair torture test.
The only regret is knowing for ~$70 more I could've gotten the 8pro or 9r models (at the time I purchased)
