Easy To Use
All I wanted was a new camera that was easy to use and took good pictures. I'm still experimenting with looking at the screen to take a picture and having a little difficulty finding my subject on a soccer field, but I'm getting better at following the action. I want to use the camera for indoor basketball games, but the season hasn't started yet. So I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with the action or if the camera will take good pictures in a gymnasium. I loved getting all of the "gadgets" that came with the camera. The pictures I have taken so far are just fine for me. I have misplaced my instructions booklet and have to go online to find answers to my questions. Low-cost quick-shooting and easy to use
The viewfinder distortions caused whenever the camera is in motion are distracting, but they don't affect still photo image quality. Haven't tested to see if they show up on video, but I suspect they don't — I'm guessing they're caused by lagging of the display processor. Also, the battery compartment door is sometimes difficult to latch, especially when shooting in low light and you can't see things clearly. WiFi awesome
WiFi is the best part. No longer have to insert my SD card into computer and transfer to my phone. A simple app let's me upload my photos and videos to my cell phone, making it easy access to post. Awesome camera
Excellent condition and this camera has more features and GD video than I will be able to master n a lifetime - highly recommended. Lens sharpness is good. Controls are easy to use. Missing RAW choice and overall image quality and controls for choices are fine Flash works on and off on automatic. I'd prefer three choices: Off, auto and manual. Great for the Money CoolPix L840
OK, I already use a Coolpix L830 and its a fine camera. But wanted to upgrade and have more zoom and WIFI also. So my next choice was the NIKON Coolpix L840 that had just what I wanted and being I had been using the L830 it was easy to jump to the L840..
