Small fancy detail

They are Authentic Genuine BMW
For those who are in favor of the older model caps made of metal, guess what, metal heads? Metal to metal can and will? C'mon, you know the answer. Exactly, they will eventually seize to the stem. Unless you use something to help from seizing, but then again, that is'nt garinteed. These caps will NOT crack if you know how to properly care for them. Do not grab those pliers from inside the toolkit located in the trunk just take a death grip on these caps just to make sure no air will escape if the valve stem should fail. That is what the rubber o ring is for, you idiot(s). NO MORE THAN FINGER TIGHT, THAT IS IT, THAT IS ALL IS NEEDED, ONCE THE RING IS SEATED LIGHTLY OVER THE STEM, THEN THAT WILL DO THE JOB. AND THEY ARE 110% BETTER AT NOT LEAKING THEN THOSE CHINCY CHEAP NO FRILLS FUGLY BACK CAPS!!! SO, IF YOU WANT, GO FOR IT, GO GRAB THOSE PLIERS OUT OF THE KIT IN THE TRUNK AND TIGHEN THEM TO HELL AND BACK. THAT IS IF YOU WANT TO END UP BREAKING THEM, THAN GO FOR IT, BY ALL MEANS, PLEASE OVER TIGHEN THEM TO HELL AND BACK AND WHILE YOU ARE AT IT SCRIPS THE THREADS TOO AND THEN TAKE A HAMMER AND FOUR NAILS AND HAMMER A NAIL INTO EACH OF YOUR FOUR TIERS. HELL, LIFT UP THE CARPIT AND THE FLOOR OF YOUR BIMMER'S TRUNK TO EXPOSE THE FULL SIZE SPARE AND GO GRAB A FITH NAIL AND HAMMPER THAT SUCKER RIGHT INTO THAT TIRE. LOL These authentic BMW valve stem caps are perfect for those who love to customize their Bimmer. The Bimmer caps are very durable(heavy duty plastic). You do NOT want metal valve stem caps, because they will corrode and will seize right to the valve stem making it impossible to remove from the stem should the tire need air. BMW roundel is of a white propeller set against a blue sky. the roundel, round logo is protected by a clear layer. The outside ridge of the cover has groves making for easier gripping of the fingers when twisting the cap on/off the stem. It is a must buy for dressing up that "Ultimate Driving Machine"! It is packaged in a clear plastic and caps are held in place inside of package with stiff but soft foam with each cap in it's own hole, securing each cap tightly during transport, as to keep from moving about inside the package and to keep from scuffing up. These caps are shinny silver. Each cap has a rubber O ring seal, which helps against loss of air should the tire valve fail. Lightweight but not good enough!
This item is a newer valve cap, made of ABS to replace the previous one of P/N 36 11 0 009 840 made of metal. I think the quality of previous metal one (1996-2006?) is much better than the newer ABS one (from 2006?). I regret that; BMW no longer offers the Tire Stem Valve Cap Set made with metal material even though the BMW Logo on the caps are as beautiful as the usual.....Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf
