Good model of the 1948-1950 Ford F-1
This is an older kit, and I don't think it has been re-released recently. It is a very accurate version of the very first Ford F-series truck. It has many details that most other model companies omit. The water pumps and lower radiator hoses are almost never modeled on the Ford Flathead V-8, but they are on this kit. Also, the Y-Pipe exhaust is modeled correctly here. Only a couple of faults. The F-1 emblem is not molded into the cab side. Strange since it is a key part of this truck. Beautiful replica of my old truck
I've looked long and hard for a Model of the 1948 Ford F-1 which I had back in the 70's. The 50 is the same. pretty much. A lot of times Ford would go several year models with the same basic build of their trucks.so the 50 is the exact image of the 48. building monogram 1950 ford pickup
I enjoyed building this model very much, I've always wanted to build this truck. In general, part fitting is good. plastic molded in beautiful light blue, nicely detailed. but there are two drawbacks to this kit. first ,the edges of the sticker are not transparent and the color should be painted exactly like the blue that in the picture so that the edges will not be seen. Second, the wheels are attached by Snap, and not exactly spinning... The result is before you.
