    Works great out of the box, but will need different cables for SAS drives (despite SAS mentioned multiple times in description)

    This HBA card will work with both SATA and SAS drives. The cables, however, will only work with SATA drives. The product description mentions SAS multiple times (SAS HBA, network ports: SAS, external interface: SAS, internal interface: SAS) and only mentions SATA once vaguely in the description immediately after SFF-8087, which is a mini SAS format. Despite all the references to SAS compatibility, the cables that come with this card will only work with SATA drives. I was able to order a SAS SFF-8087 to SFF-8482 cable and it works perfectly. It just would have been nice to get those cables with the card instead of having to order different ones separately.

    Yeah. If you’re like me and just need to add some SATA ports to an aging Unraid setup, this is as easy as it gets. Plug and play. All new. No need for config or drivers or any of that. Thank you!

    The HBA Has been working good my Dell Poweredge T330 server and was detected in the UEFI / BIOS with no problems. Truenas Scale seems fine with it too, no kernel panics or errors.

    Great HBA

    I purchased this HBA for my brother's VM tower. It's running Windows 10 Pro with 9 drives. 1 SSD for the host OS and a mix of SSDs and HDDs to create a 20TB storage pool with parity in Storage Spaces. This card is plenty fast and well worth the price.

    Exactly what I needed

    Worked "out of the box" in my UnRaid box. Came with full and half height brackets and the necessary HBA cables to SATA connections. Couldn't ask for anything more.
