Fun for father and son
I bought this as a Christmas gift after my husband admired it in a toy store in Croatia. Soon discovered it seems to be a discontinued product that is no longer manufactured so yay for eBay! My husband and our 4.5 year old son worked on putting this together over several days , spending a few blocks of solid time together, and they both really enjoyed it - I couldn't believe how long my son's attention span lasted with this! There are a lot of stickers and the containers on the ship are detached so makes for a bit more of an interactive ship. Home for the Holidays
This is a wonderful way to occupy my free time. I'm a Graduate/Deck License Cadet at SUNY Maritime and during my break, I like to occupy my free time with creative means. Learning about Maersk Triple EEE Vessels in school and understanding the cargo capacity of 18,000 TEUs, I felt it would be fun in building a replica of this monumental feat in human ingenuity and creativity. This was really fun to build.
I have been looking at this product for a while but never pulled the trigger. When I went to but it lego no longer sold it, but thank god for eBay. I received it and stated to put it together. There was one missing piece missing but I was able to use another piece in its place (same shape just a different color). It probably took me about 10 hours to build (2 days). I still have not put the stickers on the containers yet. I really liked how it turned out.
