Kadee Whiskers are the Happy Medium
These Kadee "whisker" couplers are the happy medium between plastic knuckle couplers and the original Kadees. I use Bachmann EZ-Mate couplers most of the time, but sometimes the Bachmann shanks are too thin for the gearboxes, so they have too much vertical movement. The Kadees have thicker shanks, so they make a better fit where the Bachmanns are too loose. They are certainly more durable than plastic couplers, and the whiskers allow you to mount them quickly. Best couplers bar none.

Kadee whiskers works very well

Reliable & durable
I've tried others but they all had issues. Plastic head couplers are not durable and non-centering couplers do not couple reliably, especially on curves. Don't waste your time and money on lower cost brands as I did early on and have been replacing them with Kadee "Whiskers" as they fail.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Kdee is great
I hadn't bought couplers in decades and when I needed some I searched for Kdee. I saw the #148's advertised and bought 25 pair because I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. GREAT PRODUCT BUT
Received on time, works well as expected after installed, but about half of the knuckle springs were loose in the package. yes they can be put back on but its very time consuming, especially for a 72 year old man.
