    Great Variac variable power controller, industrial version,

    This model variable power transformer referred to as a Variac, allows me to warm up old electronics that have not been used in some time by feeding the electrical power to the intervals of say 10-20% up to 110V or 220V. This allows the unit being warmed up to not be slammed with 110v or 220v at once, which can cause electrical components like capacitors and resisters to be fried. It is essential to take this step when testing old audio equipment, radios, etc. that have been idle or in storage for many years. I bought one of these models on eBay and it is extremely well built and probably designed for commercial use. I use it constantly and it has been very dependable.
