    Worked great!

    I bought this Melling kit because I use other products from them with no issues and it was less expensive than the Trick flow that I bought for another build that I'm doing. I wanted to keep cost down as much as possible on this current budget build so I purchased this one. I read the reviews about the button head bolts being stripped when torqued to the 18 ft lbs, so I purchased 3 from ACE hardware that are more sturdy. In all fairness, the trick flow button head bolts were just as bad. Mine torqued down just fine and the bracket boss holes for the dampener didn't break. I would suggest anyone who purchases this or trick flow to use the torque wrench without an extension, just the allen socket so as to be directly on the button head bolt. Press and hold the head of the torque wrench and slowly torque to 18 ft lbs in 3 stages, i.e. 10, 14, then finally 18. This worked out for me.

    Mellings does it!

    Hi I have to say this is a great piece offered by Mellings. For all gen III builds wanting to use the timing chain damper block like the gen iv ls2 LS3 engines without drilling your block this is the way to go! Well made, fits correctly and securely with no obstruction! Price is right. So far working perfectly! Thanks

    Wrong bolts

    For starters the bolts that come with it are to long and stick threw the bracket to far , and after cut the bolts down to size the head of the bolts where to thick so the oil pump hit them so the bolts had to be ground off
