Super GPS
The SkySync GPS is real good, trust me on this. It works better & faster than my handheld GPS, wireless internet & car GPS. The unit receives information immediately, there is no prolonged wait time. I kept star alignment for 7 hours straight, until I turned it off. "That's how a telescope is supposed to work." Does it make a difference? Yes. No more having to set the clock, date and location, every time or using a city location, when more precise information can be used. Cost of the SkySync is the same, as a basic handheld GPS but it synchronizes much faster. I definitely recommend this product. - A college astronomy

Does NOT work with the Ultima 2000
Does NOT work with all Celestron computerized scopes as advertised on Celestron's website. I contacted their support and received the following response: "Thank you for contacting Celestron Technical Services. I do apologize as this not compatible (sic) with the Ultima 2000. The electronics on the Ultima are the issue and will not detect the GPS. The SkySync work with our current lines. I have forwarded this error on the website to our Engineers to correct. Again our apologizes for the issue."

Celestine 93959 SkySync GPS module
This unit makes setup so easy, which is great if using more than one location for viewing. My Celestron scope is a Go-To model. Newer scopes have this built in but this plugs right in the base and gets my coordinates without a hassle. I no longer need to bring my GPS on field trips.

i use it with my c8 with star sense, and it make alignment much faster and more precise and removes the need to enter date and time. The same results can be achieved with the wifi adapter and the celestron sky portal app as long as you have GPS on your phone or tablet, which also would remove the need to use your handheld controller. If you use your telescope were you have no internet connection or GPS on your tablet (WIFI will give updated time and very close GPS) this is well worth it. I bought this before WIFI and after using the WIFI adapter there was no need for GPS my tablet provided time and location, and removed the need for the hand controler.

Sky Sync Makes Aligment a Breeze
Getting a precise alignment is the key to getting GOTO accuracy, and the Sky Sync option takes all the guess work out. Sure, we can all get the time, date, and location information from other sources, but this just takes all the hassle out of alignment. If I travel to a dark sky location with either my CGEM or Evolution mount I don't need to fret with trying to find my Lat and Lon, it is done instantly so I can focus on other matters. To me, an integrated GPS is essential to the best observing experience, and this does the job great.

Saves time and is very accurate..
Enters date and time info and coordinates automatically and does it very accurately. Some reviewers say it improves alignment and tracking but since I bought this together with the scope (Celestron 9.25 EdgeHD w/CGEM mount), I don't know if that's true. I suspect it would have an impact since tracking requires accurate GPS location and time. Being lazy, I appreciate the work it does for me especially if I take the scope to a viewing location, I don't have to fiddle with GPS coords and find accurate time.. It's a bit expensive for what it does but get it if you want automation and don't like fiddling with settings.

Works well. Exactly as described.
This unit works perfectly - it just doesn't have the outer plastic case. I mounted in a small plastic case, and it worked as soon as I plugged it into my Celestron 8SE. Great value if you're willing to do a little work on your end.

Finding an app for Galaxy android notepad
The app to use this has been removed from the site so note able to connect to the computer please advice if there is a suitable app available then I can comment fully on the performance of this unit Regards A Green

Celestron GPS a great value
Pluged it into the telescope base and turned it on. It found the GPS coordinates very fast, and this was from my basement! Much faster than typing in coordinates and time of day with the hand held controller.
