Best ESC for sensored brushless motor
Was looking at a waterproof ESC with great functionality to for my TRX-4 Defender mate with a KRATOX SIX 1900 kV. Castle Creations have good USB interface to PC, and a great Bluetooth interface to iPhone. Set-up sequence is straightforward and well documented in the Youtube RC community. Make sure to set the "reverse crawler" mode, and make a nice exponential throttle curve for exceptional low speed crawling control. I soldered CC 6.5mm bullets to the battery and the motor leads. The sensored plug is a recognized standard and is working fine with the KRATOS SIX. I mounted it on a custom made aluminum plate with screwed-in aluminum brackets. No sticky tape here. THe wire going to the receiver is plenty long and should work with most configurations. Great 5-star score based on easy of use and programming, and exceptional performance.

Perfect esc.
Mamba X. What can I say....all the voltage you could want for a trail rig. Perfect size. Have a servo on my TTC Truck thats over 600oz of torque and most my steering servos make over 400oz of torque so the 8-amp internal bec is amazing...no more external bec for me. It steers my rigs with authority...even in a bind. Waterproof.....another perfect. I'm slowly switching all my rigs over from Holmes-Hobbies BLE Pro to the Momba X esc. The new software is yet...another amazing feature. With data-logging and twice the electrical pulses per second(I was told by a Castle Tech)from over 500 to over 1100 pulses for even more low-end control.... obviously improving brushed motors and sensored brushless motors but also the proving startup of non-sensored Motors. Just an amazing esc. I haven't touched on all the features but these are the ones that are important to me. Obviously as a trail/crawler guy it has all the crawler features a guy like me could ever want......very nice job Castle.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

The best so far!
I have owned Castle escs for around 7 years and am blown away by this guy. There is finally no need for an external bec and the data logging feature is extremely useful. I installed this in my SCX10 II with a Tenshock RC906 1250kv motor and I would swear that it is sensored, no cogging at all. I was also able to see how many amps the system was pulling to make sure my battery was not lacking. Highly recommend, this will be the only esc I buy from here on out.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Amazingly Smooth.
I have Holmes Hobbies brushless systems in all my trail rigs, my GF bought a vaterra ascender and i told her to buy this to test out...i wasn't expecting much... but im telling you right now, it's making me second guess buying Holmes systems... it's that good... the only thing Holmes has over it is the waterproof motor... but needless to say, this ESC paired with a castle sensored 2850KV motor is an absolute steal at the price...Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Good esc. Mamba x.
One star off because you can't change the pwm frequency to quiet down the motor noise. Probably not worth a whole star, but there is no half star option.
