The Canon ef-s 55-250mm lens is very good for birding and other closer wildlife. Fast autofocus . Mine shipped in new condition and I'm very happy with the purchase. Excellent Lens

Best bang for the buck if you are looking at nature or portrait photography.
I am not a good photographer, but this lens makes it look like I am. It is sharp, quick, and precise. Also, it is well balanced to the camera body, so you can take stable photos even without the built in image stabilisation (which works like a charm, BTW).
