This downrigger mount has a swivel base to rotate 360 degrees for your fishing trip. It's very durable with its LEXAN construction and stainless steel hardware. It can be locked in various directions with its sixteen-point locking mechanism. You can set it to be locked every 22.5 degrees on the base. Poor construction
Down-riggers and rods and reels are a large investment. The swivel helps to me a great need in rotation, but the base is help together by two small machine screws 1/4” deep in the plastic. You can hand tighten and strip these or put a heaven load on and your entire rod, reel and down-rigger investment is lost. Poor quality and design.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Good swivel

Great swivel mount at a good price.
This is a well made piece. I have a Penn downrigger so I had to machine a plate to fit the Penn base plate to the Cannon swivel mount. I like the Cannon swivel better because it has 22 detent positions and has a low profile.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

Problems with this base
The plastic has had cracking problems after a couple years of use. Troll master makes a base that fits the cannon downriggers and is much stronger with no problems.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf

The part is very light weight and not built well enough for the long haul had to replace 4 of them they brake and Crack and down rigger will fall off be very carefull in rough water if you use anything over 8lb ball .Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Neuf
