    Sleek and functional, yet exceedingly complex and hard to really grasp its potential.

    Quality smartphone with all the bells and whistles you've come to expect from Apple. Upon upgrading from a well-favored iPhone 4S, it seems that the 6S Plus has an inferior battery life. Also, the newer versions of many well-known apps are much larger in size -- don't know why this needs to be the case -- it just makes download and install take longer. While there are more features and options for customization and control than ever before, the extent of it boggles the mind. The iPhone 4S with iOS 6 was enough to handle; the 6S Plus with iOS 10 seems too much. It is exceedingly difficult to keep track of the practical effectiveness of all the settings. Understandably most would just go with the defaults, ignoring the plethora of options, perhaps becoming blissfully unaware of being increasingly constrained to the default patterns and constructs laid down by Apple simply because it's too complicated to do the mental gymnastics to really make the newest iPhone serve you best, and besides, who really has the time to figure it all out? With every new upgrade to hardware and software there seems an ever-increasing void in the working relationship between man and his machine, effectively relinquishing control to the company who made and provisions operation of the device because it's "just too complex" to know your device anymore.

    When traveling, consider supplementation with an iPad.

    I wish I could rate this phone higher than 4 stars. In a way it deserves 5 stars because it is as good a cellphone as you can hope to have. The problem it has is one that it shares with all other cellphones: a keypad and screen that is tiny compared to a laptop. As a result, I had a lot of problems emailing and texting, especially during a recent trip abroad. If I ever travel extensively again, I will probably take along this phone, but I will also purchase an iPad.

    Having problems

    Lets see, everything time I turn it off it Locks up I have to put a code to unlock. When I’m on the phone talking the indicator light to close screen does not work, if I hit the off button to turn the screen off while talking on the phone The phone hangs up .There are times I found the phone without the colors on the screen that takes a minute to correct

    Great phone. And easy to repair too.

    I've had some iphones and the 6s Plus works very well. Had the "earpiece low volume problem" with two iPhones, but that got solved changing the part (which was easy) and the other cleaning the metalic mesh. Great phone even in 2019.
