99.9% of the newest features at only 1/4th the cost
in 2022 the Apple Watch Series 5 is SERIOUSLY still of great value. While I did use it for a bit, I am a Series 7 owner and I gave this watch to my girlfriend. From experience, I can tell you it does basically everything that my series 7 does. The only thing I ended up missing was the on-screen keyboard. I get that most people don't use that, so it is a niche thing. I'd say this is better than the Apple Watch SE at a lesser cost, as it has a perfectly useable always-on display still. Love my Apple Watch
I’m a gadget guy and I love this device. I upgraded to the Series 5 from the Gen 1(prior to the Series designations). So, it was a huge leap. I use it so as to stay off my phone. If I don’t have to have my phone in my hand, all the better. This allows me to review messages and decide if I need to pull out my phone to respond or if a short, quick message will be sufficient. Had an issue with the always-on display on the first boot, but a simple power cycle fixed the issue. Other than that I’m very impressed with the quality(seems brand new), no scuffs, cracks or anything visually different than a new watch.
