  • B+ - blows almost every other style out of the water

Personally, I have no product with the rounded shape that some people complain about. The charging CAN be clunky if you charge it off the iPad itself, but I have always used the lightning female-to-female adapter as it's faster and it means I can still use the iPad itself. It's light, comfortable to hold (to me), easy to use and, in my estimation, has no competition aside from the Surface Pen. This is just not any old iPad stylus - this is the first stylus I've ever been able to naturally write and draw with on a tablet. The are only two drawbacks I've found. Firstly, I haven't found any cases that fit the current models of iPad that use the 1st gen Pencil (iPad Air 2 [2019 edtion], iPad, or iPad Mini [5th gen, which I currently have]), so I end up storing my Pencil literally in my pencil case (having formerly had the 1.5 gen iPad Pro with a case with a built-in storage loop, the current arrangement is a bit annoying). I'm sure this will change, though. Secondly, I am a "screen protector" type of guy, and using the Pencil with my first iPad Pro - that also had a glass Zagg screen protector - there was a definite, substantive difference between using the Pencil directly on an iPad screen and on the protector-covered screen. It wasn't the end of the world for me, but I'm not a power user by any means and so it was something I adapted to pretty easily. Overall, I give the product a B+; I formerly gave it an A (rounded up for being Apple's first attempt). Honestly, unless you're going to be really going hard on your Pencil use - which, if you are, probably means you're using the newest iPad Pro, anyway - the 1st gen Pencil is still the gen pop industry standard in my view.

  • Love my Apple Pencil (and the extras are good too)

The Apple pencil is an amazing device. I had previously tried a generic version, which while cheaper, was just not as good. The pencil is extremely well made, a joy to hold, and is very precise. I have had a lot of fun experimenting in various apps that support drawing. Time to charge is really good, and the duration of the charge is better than I had expected. At first I was nervous about plugging the pencil into my iPad, then I realized that the pencil comes with a small adapter that lets you plug the pencil into a USB charger or the iPad via a cable. The extras were kinda cool, though a color other than bright red might be less flamboyant. The two most useful were a small cap+band to hold the pencil cap on, and a sleeve with a raised ridge (which stops the pencil rolling along a surface, and which is also magnetic so it will attach to the iPad).

  • Great Product!!!

I purchased the iPad 8th generation and wanted to take advantage of using the Apple Pencil Generation 1. Let me say Apple has created an ingenious product. This digital stylus will make writing notes and developing my creative side very convenient and next level. I live in how in Apple Notes you can transcribe your handwriting into text, and it is pretty accurate. This is a phenomenal product!

  • Apple. There is no substitute.

I had tried to get a bargain with a cheaper off-brand stylus 'cause, after-all, how much difference could there really be... Turns out, there is a lot of difference. The off-brand would connect to my iPad and would (sort of) work. It was ok at straight lines but just would not track to complete letters especially the curvy bits. The Apple Pencil manages everything you want it to do. Very precise. Recognizes that you are using the pencil and eliminates stay hand input when you rest your hand on the screen. Save yourself the pain of trial and error and just go with the Apple version right out of the gate.

  • OEM Apple Pencil In Perfect Condition & Parts Included

The Apple Pencil works great, does everything it says it should do, except for one thing that I've found. Apple claims that the pencil charges fully in about 10 minutes, shouldn't take longer than 15. The first time I charged it I set a timer. According to my Ipad the pencil was at 42% when it started, and it took the pencil over 30min to charge fully from 42%. The pencil works great and all, just not to happy on the slow charging, will see how well the pencil holds its charge for a full work day.

  • Apple pencil

I received my apple pencil in just a couple of days, which was a pleasant surprise. I used it most of last evening. I had been using a cheap knockoff pencil, but I decided to get a real Apple pencil due to the fact that the other pencil had no pressure sensitivity. Some reviewers said it was all the same. The differences may seem subtle but if you use the pencil for drawing, it is like night and day. Like all Apple products this pencil screams quality!!! This pencil was an open box product and looks and feels brand new. If you use the pencil to draw on an ipad, forget the knockoffs and get the Apple pencil!!!

  • An Expensive Stylus

It's a stylus, people. There is just NO reason a stylus should cost almost $100. It's also designed with very small pieces (pencil cap, charger connector and tip cap) which are very easy to lose. On the positive side, it is compatible with the device it was designed to work with. Responsiveness of the pencil when used for note taking or editing documents on the iPad Pro is pretty decent. I was pleased to find it new on eBay for $76.71. But even that was too much.

  • Old School

I'm from the generation that actually wrote things, instead of typing them! This gives me the opportunity to do what I love - to write by hand, while still embracing technology of the current generation. This pen works like a charm, and seems to understand and convert my handwriting to typed letters with almost complete success. I like toys, so this is another for my collection. I often purchase open box, and I was successful yet again.

  • Great Product, Great Price

Amazing stylus, use this all the time to draw and take notes in class. The only real downside is how glossy and smooth it feels. Takes some getting use to but it's an amazing product.

  • GREAT Pencil - EXPENSIVE - POOR Charging Design

Purchased this for my wife to use on her iPad Pro. It works VERY well and she uses it often. I am not fond of how it has to be charged though. They should have reversed the connectors; plug INTO the opening in the pencil instead of the pencil plugging into the cable to charge. That way, if the connector gets bent or broken, you just need to replace a cable instead of the VERY expensive pencil.
