    Best Value Priced 1/48 F4U Corsair.

    Although not up to the standards of F4U Corsair kits from Tamiya, Hasegawa, Hobby Boss etc it is hands down superior to the inferior Revell F4U-4 kit thats also currently available or the Lindberg for that matter. It dispenses with Revell's toy like features and raised panel lines. Cockpit and landing gear detail are a little sparse but does include recessed panel lines plus bombs, rockets and drop tanks. All in all a decent kit or the price. The biggest disappointment is the decals, no surprise at this price point. Instructions and painting guide are a little suspect. I would recommend aftermarket decals and paint research to maximize the potential of this kit. I used the kit decals and had issues with silvering despite a gloss finish.

    Box Not what it looks like in add

    The plane is the right type of plane but it comes in black plastic not gray makes it harder to paint . It came in a different box than what the add looks like and it got crushed but seems to be a skill level 2 other than this I guess it will work to mess around with .

    Academy 1/48 scale F4U Corsair

    It is a nice kit,but it showed the kit with Marine Corps markings ,but when I got It ,all it had was Navy markings. So now I have to spend more money and buy Marine Corps markings!
