      Typical 70s & 80s Aircraft Model Kit

      I bought this kit to build the same kit that I built as a teenager in the 1980s. Details are actually pretty good for this time period. The worst part of the build was where the front gear bay fits into the lower fuselsge. There are gaps galore that need to be filled. Also, the gun bay door will need to be filed and fitted if you plan to build the model with it in the closed position. Wing gaps in the lower fuselage where the rear of the wing fits into the fuselage will also need to be filled. The version of the plane in the box is an F-86F10. If you plan on building this version the wing fences on the upper wings will need to be removed. If you keep them, you will have an F-86F35 and the decals included will be incorrect. You might want to order the correct decals online.

      Nice Kit

      A Nice representation of the F-86, Parts fit was pretty good. Detail was a little better than a I would have expected from a kit in this price range. Didn't care for the decal set but there are plenty of options to be found.
