    The DVD Release Of The Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries - Less Than Acceptable Video Quality

    I became a fan of the series while it was being provided from an InterNet streaming service (which recently dropped it). One of the series' most intriguing features is its excellent video - the lush, saturated, colors and attention to detail. The video quality of the series, as released on DVD, is inferior to that which was previously available from the streaming service.

    Stylish, lite murder in Australia's 1920s

    This is a series set in the 1920s in Melbourne, Australia. The actors do a great job. The characters are engaging, the stories entertaining. There is drama with a touch of humour. There is murder but never horror or gore. The fashion and settings are eye catching. We have watched the episodes more than once, they're that good. Included is the movie made a few years later which wraps the story lines up.

    Once you start, you're hooked. Real 1920s Australia.

    I have had the series for about a year and have almost worn it out. I bought this one for a friend. This show is fabulous! Real life characters, beautiful scenery, terrific stories and mysteries that make you think. I am Australian, born and raised and this is as close to real Aussie's as you are going to get. Classy, intelligent, and funny you can't ask for more, except more! Wish the series was still going.

    Great action and humor

    I love seeing a woman being highly competent and heroic. Had to wait a very long time for Jack and Phryne to kiss.
