Notes
John Primer is a small gem of a blues guitarist, shaped under the pressure of years of hard labor in clubs and backup work, sparkling on his American solo debut. The Mississippi-born bluesman played lead guitar in Muddy Waters' last band, until Waters' death in 1982; he's since been a guitar slinger for Magic Slim And the Teardrops. His stinging guitar solos and tough vocals are equally at home with his original tunes or sturdy covers of solid blues... Every time you worry a bit about the blues disappearing as an American music, someone like John Primer shows up to case your troubled mind.
