Out of need I installed it and was very happy that the lack of plastic frame adds about a 1/2” increase field of view both vertically and horizontally. There are two styles of OEM, the difference is that there is a black plastic frame and there is no plastic frame, but they can be used interchangeably, and the mirror without a black plastic frame is more popular with customers!
