"This is an exceptional CD, resulting from a beautiful musical and personal friendship between two of the most talented jazz musicians on the Planet - pianist Josh Nelson, and violinist Ludvig Girdland." "It's a celebration of how moving and evocative great music can be. Transcending any categorization, here is a language of the soul, leading us with strength and kindness, and adding greater meaning to our lives" "I was fortunate to be able to capture this rare music, performed live and in the studio, before the horrible accident which almost took Ludvig Girdland from us. In the Fall of 2005 he was hit while driving, by a drunk driver, and left in a severe coma with serious brain damage. As of this writing, in early 2007, he has made a very slow recovery. He still cannot speak, and nobody knows if he will ever play his marvelous violin again or be able to earn any kind of living. We who love Ludvig are always praying for his recovery.' 'All profits from the sales of this CD will be donated to The Girdland family for Ludvig's ongoing medical care."
