    Fixed with buyer, Seller selected promotion, and ebay ran a misleading ad, unfortunately now both buyer and seller have issues. Full Refund given, buyer keeps items. We will take this up with EBAY, but buyer does not need to wait. Apologies for the inconvenience, as when promotion is selected, we have no idea how ebay controls it.

    Standard Smoke Alarm from Well-Known Manufacturer

    This is a standard item, like another I've had in my home for several years. I do test it periodically. How good is an item like this? One doesn't know until a situation does or does not trigger the alarm. Still, it has a good reputation; I trust that it will work when it needs to. It is touted to last 10 years.

    Not Sensitive Enough To Smell of Smoke

    I tested this smoke alarm by placing it several feet above a small fire. Only after about a minute or two, COMPLETELY ENSHROUDED IN SMOKE, did the alarm sound, and for ONLY 3 BLASTS. It should have sounded off at just the smell of smoke, and for maybe 6 or 8 blasts. I have been in motels where the smoke alarm went off repeatedly after just turning on the heater when no smoke was produced. The smoke alarm went off because it merely sensed the smell of something burnt or about to burn as when the heater coil starts to get extremely hot when heated by an electric current. This smoke detector is better than nothing, but barely. Spend a few more bucks and get a commercial grade smoke detector like the motels have.

    Love the long battery life

    Well, its a little difficult to rate this product at this time. I've only had it for a short while and haven't had any reason for it to be activated. I just hope that when necessary it operates properly.
