      Jury's out, but works fine.

      Jury's still out, but okay. For my purposes I only wanted it for dehydrating vegetables I put into my weekly+ salad. I really over did it the first time because of the booklet saying how long recommended to keep the veggies in it. FYI: My carrots, green peppers and onions are good enough at no more than 15 minutes. I just want them less moist, but don't lose that snap effect. The crispness. That's where I'm at now; experimenting. But I know I can't use the dehydrator for that lengthy amount of time recommended. Only drawback really is that it's so big. Wish it was smaller, at least for my purposes. Otherwise it's okay.

      Works but wish I had known of the next higher model

      The problem with this model is that it has no temperature control, one temp does it all. I wish I had known that or I would have bought the next higher model # which does have temperature settings you can control. It does seem to work well with what I have dehydrated so far. Another issue is that the dehydrating 'grates' that hold the food are just a tad to big, if you chop veges, etc too small they will fall through the grid when they shrink upon drying ending up on the very bottom of the unit..

      Sorry I chose this model

      This dehydrator gets too hot. Cooks whatever you put on it. Would make a great toaster or can be used to cook bacon.

      Nice appliance

      Very easy to use. It did a great job on Apples and Pineapple. Next project is Jerky.

      Highly recommend

      Works greaf. I don't think it could be compact & easy to clean due to the nature of the product but instruction and machine itself are uncomplicated and the jerky is great.
