The rear cap was on upon opening the box so it couldn't have been from shipping. I didn't even bother trying the lens at all bc the dent was huge. I contacted the seller and he refused to refund/accept return. He said he had video proof. BIG SCAMMER. I had to escalate to EBay and thankfully they sided with me and I am now returning this. Hopefully he doesn't try to scam someone else with the same lens
