No latch to keep it from being knocked open, which I forgot to ask. The price was well worth it for the protection and is as beautiful as the photo. I had a misunderstanding with the vendor over sizing/padding, but his customer service was beyond excellent! Very responsive. Ask questions and send photos on sizing. Shipping was very quick and well packaged. Would buy again.

Upon opening it appeared slightly dented, marble ball had a small dent as well. But seller was nice and gave me extra marble ball so the dents didn't matter all that much because it's a beautiful antique looking piece and it was so much much working the device and seeing all the different shapes , it was mesmerizing I highly recommend this seller and I will probably order again in near future. So n love
