Great pouches
These pouches are great for making your own cold brew at home. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was due to the pouches not holding in 100% of the grinds. It says to use medium grind coffee and I haven't tried using coarse coffee but with the coffee I have used, the fine coffee particles slip through ever so slightly. Since they do, I simply strain it again. In all they are a great product, just make sure the coffee grinds are not too fine.These pouches are great for making your own cold brew at home. good product, but moving on to a cold brew system
I decided to try this economical way to make cold brew coffee at home before I committed to buying a complete system. The bags seem to work well, one must wash rinse them in hot (boiling is recommended) water prior to the first use. I used a 64 oz mason jar to make coffee. The bag works best if damp to start. It took a few tries to get the right amount of grounds - a coarse grind works best. I learned to use the grinder at the store as its more consistent then I can be with my home grinder. My main problem is in getting the bag out of the jar after brewing and the bag with grounds swells too big to get out of the jar mouth. I have to pour the coffee out around it and then work to get the bag out. There is still a fair bit of sediment in the bottom of the jar even with a coarse grind. I am ...
