POWERTEC has poor quality control.
POWERTEC has poor quality control. These blades have 4 mounting holes that need to be equidistant from one another from the center of the blade the second mounting slot is off center by A 64th of an inch from one side the second by 32s on an inch the forth by 3/64ths this multiplying variance impedes installing them out of the box. The forth mounting hole must be filed open wider on one side to compensate for the variance. Once the modification is done installing & calibrating is simple. POWERTEC has poor quality control. Good replacement blades...........
I've had a Delta 37-070 sitting idle in the basement for about 7 years now, simply because the blades got chewed up jointing some wood that I didn't know had nails in it ! Now it's cutting like new. I've read that people have had trouble removing the screws that hold the blades. I took a small nail-set & put it in the hole where the allen wrench goes & give it 4 to 5 whacks with a hammer........Screws came right out.
