Product Information

The popular 1970s sci-fi television show is updated and re-imagined in BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. It has been a generation since the Cylons, androids built by mankind to work and serve them, rebelled and disappeared into the cosmos. But now they have returned, bent on destroying the twelve worlds of their former masters. Commander William Adama (Edward James Olmos) manages to escape the destruction with a small portion of the human population on board the Battlestar Galactica, and now searches the far reaches of space for the lost colony of man known as Earth. Unfortunately, the Cylons are still in pursuit, determined to wipe out every trace of the human race. This mini-series of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA updates the original series with a darker tone, new CGI special effects, and by giving the Cylons the ability to mimic their prey, making them all the more dangerous. It shares with THE MATRIX and THE TERMINATOR series a vision of mankind undone by the very machines it created, and the continuing struggle between the mechanical and the organic that will determine the future.

The book was shipped in a timely manner, and was packaged with care. It arrived in a bubble mailer, and inside, the book was protected in a thin plastic envelope to protect it from rain.     Entertaining sci fi

    This is an excellent re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica. Several character twists from the original series make for an entertaining saga that leaves you guessing throughout the show. The characters are engaging and each plays their role perfectly. Love them or hate them, they are good at what they do and leave you wanting more. The show is similar, but manages to stray away from the original 1978 show in what I consider to be a great story line that flows perfectly without any hiccups, and brings intriguing character arcs and development to the table. I would recommend this series to any one that is a fan of science fiction, and would even suggest following up with the full series and movies

    Battlestar Galactica 2003 Miniseries

    I never knew about the Miniseries - It was great!!! I did watch the complete show when it was on Netflix and it was completely amazing. So now (2018) I'm going to buy the complete show and watch it again, then give it away to a deserving soul..... This is the best and most realistic Sifi adventure. The 12 / Cylons are the frakin (word from the show) coolest and scariest!!!!! The movie resolution for 2003 is just a bit soft. Galactica sets and outer space are more than worth it!!! "IT'S THE BEST"!!!!!

    A Great Story!!!

    I didn't get to watch this series when it was first broadcast and only vaguely remember the original. I really - really liked this film. The special effects still hold up, the acting is top rate and the story line is excellent. I just purchased the original series and hope to some day buy the complete series of this version starring James Edward Olmos.

    Not as good as the long, original series, but a good follow-up for it, especially for viewers who love action movies.

    BSG Reboot

    Saw this back on SciFi when it first aired and it still gets me. Good mix of action, drama and a little mystery/suspense - it really pulls you in.
