The Ultimate Tea Maker: Versatile AND Precise
The two big variables in tea making - temperature and time - are handled deftly by the Breville One-touch Tea Maker. No more oversteeping the pot or leaving a tea bag in too long. And the temperature control is precise and so much easier than guesswork or a hand-held thermometer. With only three parts to rinse after each use, cleaning is very easy. I especially like the ability to choose or set variable times. If I'm drinking oolong or green tea, I know that I can do more than one steep. So I set the time for mild or medium for the first steep, then I add a bit more new tea to the basket for the second (or third) steep and increase the time and/or use the basket plunging feature to increase the brew strength. Best tea maker available.
This is my second Breville tea maker. The first one died after five years of several times a day usage. It is very simple to use and clean. If you use RO water, then you don't need to clean it from lime deposits etc. It still needs to be cleaned from the tanin stains that build up over time. This is the best tea maker available anywhere, but the price is high especially as it is made in China. It should sell around around $60-70 maximum as the technology is very simple, and it is not complicated to manufacture according to my engineering friends. I was told a long time ago, never be afraid to buy the best, you’ll never be disappointed. This item is made well, has a classic look and if your into tea, works extremely well. With auto functions and manual, it gives you the ability to insure you have tea ready at all times or when you needed it. Breville makes quality product. I am pleased with this purchase.

A time saver that you wake up to in the morning !
At first thought the instructions were daunting but once into them they were easy, this does a super fast brew that’s easy to program and you wind up with a superb cup of tea . Only thing I did notice is you have to check the current time on the tea maker because it looses several minutes a week but that’s not a big deal because the time can be adjusted during the finish time.
