"Looks like a real baby"
I bought both of my granddaughters, ages 7 and 9, one of these dolls for Christmas; they opened them yesterday, early, and LOVED THEM!! They were an even a bigger hit than I'd hopped for. I thought they looked a lot like real babies on line, which is what the girls wanted, but I was really surprised by how realistic they looked in person and you can't beat the price. I looked at a lot of dolls and read a lot of reviews on line before I bought these babies. What really sold me on them was that they were safe enough that the girls could take a bath with them and neither the girls, nor the dolls would be harmed; the suggested age was 3 and up. Many of the more expensive and supposedly more realistic looking (although I don't see how they could be) baby dolls weren't recommended for ... Just a little extra information- preemie real baby cloths fit them perfectly.

Based on the high price of this item, I expected something similar to the vinyl quality of the Ashton Drake dolls, just a cheaper version. Or at least that's what I was hoping for. I was so disappointed at how cheap it looks, something similar to the Quality you would find at a dime store. Even more upsetting, I saw the exact same doll at a toy store the following weekend for $14.99. And because of the high price of shipping, $10, trying to return it would just be illogical.Based on the high price of this item, I expected something similar to the vinyl quality of the Ashton Drake dolls, just a cheaper version.
