Bug! brings a 3D world to the Sega Saturn. The main character, Bug, is a green bug with a cartoon look. As the story goes, Bug is an actor who has just been cast in a new action film called Bug!. The complete game is a movie that you are acting in and your success in each level will determine the movie's success. Some of the supporting actors in your movie include: Bee-52, Daddy-O-Long-Legs, Fire Ant, and the main enemy, Queen Cadavra. Take Bug through six island kingdoms and 18 levels of action. Each kingdom has three levels and an end boss. Your two forms of attack are the butt bounce and zap attack. At the end of some levels new attacks, such as spit, can be obtained.

An early 3D platform game starring a Sonic-esque character and containing vast sprawling maze-like levels.
Bug! is a rather interesting game. It is an early experiment in 3D platforming. This game appeared before Mario 64 emerged and set the tone for "open-world" 3D platform gaming. Instead, Bug! stays truer to the 2D sidescroller roots but adds the third dimension. Not only can you move left to right, but also up and down. You can even crawl up the walls! Unlike later 3D platforming games, however, Bug! only allows you to move along a fixed linear path. This makes for a different experience and gives it a unique feel of being a mix between 2D and 3D elements. On top of that, the gameplay is insanely difficult. The levels are HUGE with vast maze-like structures. There are multiple branching paths and it is easy to get lost. The main character is basically a clone of 90's characters like Sonic ... A save feature would have been nice, along with more checkpoints throughout the giant levels. But overall, a solid early 3D platform game!

Very Good Platformer
A lot of people overlook this game for Clockwork Knight for the Sega Saturn but for me I actually enjoyed this game over Clockwork Knight. The gameplay is very unique and easy to get used to and the graphic are nice. Its not the same old platformer type of game, its mixed with some 3D elements as well as 2D.

Well I had Bug when it came out and knew it was an awesome game, this was ordered but I got Bug 2 which is just as fun, I wanted it to so I was not worried about it
