Set-up WiFi, get any app updates, then turn off WiFi to conserve battery. Spend a few minutes in Settings and consider turning off all alerts, data and data roaming, select do not track, deselect sending data analytics, deselect using data to improve ad experience, turn off using predictive text. Move app icons to suit preference. Rejoice in de-tangling from a smart phone.

I had problems with Tracfone trying to assist me telling me wrong info on the service plan which they said didn't exist, but after talking to a few Tracfone customer service people I finally got someone who knew what they were doing & helped me complete the process & I got my data, minutes & texts finally added to my plan. Then another message that UPS lost my package. This was not the fault of the seller. I contacted them and was reassured that I will receive a full refund in 3-5 days. So...excellent service from the seller and eBAy but not good service from UPS.

It was a great value, although I had a bit of difficulty loading it online to my phone. I got a message that I would lose all of my current minutes and time if I proceeded with loading it. I immediately stopped the transmission and called Tracfone's Customer Service. I explained the problem and I was told that they had run across this problem a number of times, so they updated everything on the spot. Success!
