The clippers work right out of the box. The one that I got was still fully charged. The clippers work great. Easy to use and easy to adjust. Also great for traveling. I had another brand before I bought these. The other brand that I had recently crapped out on me. I like this one better because it is easier to clean after use than my other brand was. This one is also easier to change the head. The other brand I had was a bit more complicated to change the head. You had to push back, slightly lift up, and push forward. Generally like with two exceptions - Philips Norelco QG3330/42 Multigroom 5 Tool
Had a Philips Norelco T980 vacuum trimmer previously. I liked it yet it was maybe only 90% quality in terms of durability; things kept breaking, though I had it a long long time. Have only had this QG3330/42 for a couple weeks now, so my review could be premature. I wanted a cheap trimmer that wasn't cheap on quality and anything else was a bonus. I would buy this again, however I also might try to find other better models if I had to buy over again. There is a plastic piece that covers the blade which you slide up or down to choose from among 18 different beard / moustache trimming thicknesses. To use the trimmer directly like I do for precise moustache trimming you have to take the plastic piece all the way off (and put it back on for length-based trimming). I didn't have to do that ... The power button is good but it fits into the body so well that I can't usually turn it on without looking, that is without having to locate it. I like the extra heads. Nice Shaver
This shaver is probably the best I have owned. Usually any shaver works fine for a few months then loose its sharpness. This one still cuts strong, though I have not used it for a complete haircut. I like the way it can be adjusted for different length of hair. The charge lasts a good month, and the options are the most I have seen. It does it all.

Trimmer exceeds expectations
When I first used this trimmer I noticed a difference right away. It cuts smooth and effortlessly. My previous trimmer doesn't compare. It used to take me roughly 10 mins to shave my beard with my old trimmer. With this trimmer I can trim my beard in about half of the time of my previous trimmer. It also has the ability to get wet so I can used it in the shower and rinse it immediately.

Good buy
Its a good buy because of the brand name and the price, battery life is very good. But problem is once you open all the parts all over there is no case to put in. I bought a small rubber made container to put everything in the container so there's no possibility to lose it.
