The Nikon D3100 SLR black camera is a single lens digital reflex camera that features 14.2 million effective pixels. This density of pixels provides you with crisp image quality. Simply look through the eye-level Penta mirror single-lens reflex viewfinder to line up your perfect shot and snap the picture. The digital D3100 features a dust-reduction system and a picture control system. These systems work together to give you spot-free pictures, which can be customized through a variety of filters. Such filters include monochromatic, landscape, vivid, and standard. Each makes for a drastically different result. You can store images from the Nikon D3100 on an SD, SDHC, or SDXC flash memory card. This makes it easy to take plenty of photos on the go. As an added benefit, this digital camera kit includes an AF-S DX VR lens that's 18-55 millimeters. It's small and lightweight, so it doesn't dramatically add to the overall weight of the camera itself. These lenses also come equipped with a super integrated coating. This coating helps you achieve fantastic color quality and reduce such issues as lens flare and ghosting. The components are comprised of high-quality, extra-low dispersion glass, which is durable and long-lasting. These Nikon D3100 cameras provide you with the means of shooting video in 1080P full HD. All the video you shoot is captured in MPEG-4. The video mode delivers full-time autofocus and complete sound capture. When snapping pictures, a continuous shooting mode is available that allows you to shoot seven FPS, or frames per second. All photos are saved in standard JPEG format. This Nikon bundle comes with a minimum ISO of 100 and a maximum ISO of 3,200. This variation in ISO settings ensures that you're able to snap a natural picture no matter the lighting. The D3100 kit provides you with a myriad of useful features whether you're a beginner or a professional. The full-frame CMOS sensor allows you to take wide photos, ensuring that every detail is captured. A large image sensor is particularly beneficial for landscapes.     Fantastic Camera

    Camera is light, easy to use and takes fantastic photos when proper settings are used. There is very little difference in image quality from the D3100 to Nikons more expensive cameras. More pixels don't make better photos. The D3100 is a great all around camera and better than any point and shoot or cellphone camera

    Great Camera!

    Love this camera! Shoots clear and crisp. I mostly use manual mode (M) or Program (P), but it is very nice to have to option to switch to Automatic for quick shots where you don't have time to adjust settings and just need a decent shot. I do wish this camera had a microphone in (audio in) port. I am happy with this camera.

    Good value

    The only real issue with the camera which for most of us is not an issue at all is its age. With good lenses it will take good pictures for a long, long time. It is not longer on the leading edge of technology. For pennies on the dollar for the same camera I purchased years ago, I was able to stay within my budget and give my Grand daughter the type of camera she desired. It was a good deal for everyone. I am sure she will sooner or later purchase a much better lens. The camera was what it was said to be....thumbs up.
