[THE DEATH OF VISHNU] reads like the work of a highly skilled and experienced practitioner of the writer's craft., Suri, at his best, reveals not only a collision of modern and mythic India but a commingling of them., Enchanting.Masterfully created. No telling detail or private vanity escapes the author's comic yet infinitely compassionate scrutiny., Enchanting…Masterfully created…No telling detail or private vanity escapes the author's comic yet infinitely compassionate scrutiny., Marvelously life-embracing … THE DEATH OF VISHNU is a seamlessly constructed, quietly eloquent work of art.

Synopsis
Vishnu, the odd-job man in a Bombay apartment block, lies dying on the staircase landing. Around him the lives of the apartment dwellers unfold: the warring housewives on the first floor, lovesick teenagers on the second, and the quietly grieving widower on the top floor of the building. In a fevered state Vishnu looks back on his love affair with the seductive Padmini and wonders if he might actually be the god Vishnu, guardian of the entire universe. Blending incisive comedy with Hindu mythology and a dash of Bollywood sparkle, The Death of Vishnu is an intimate and compelling view of an unforgettable world.

- c***c (174)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Dernier moisAchat vérifiéThank MovieSankink. Book arrived fast and according to Seller's description; Seller also promptly answered inquiries, and wrapped the book carefully. I also want to thank Seller for recycling grocery boxes and encourage more Ebay sellers and buyers to use cardboard boxes as many times as possible before delivering them to recycling centers.
- e***e (103)- Évaluation laissée par l'acheteur.Six derniers moisAchat vérifiéI saw an excellent deal on this book. The pictures, which gave an accurate view of the condition now that I’ve received it, but it was still in readable condition. I jumped on the offer, of course. Shortly after the seller messaged me to make sure that I was aware of the condition and I assured him that I was. It’s amazing to do business with such a conscientious seller, and I will definitely keep him in my favorite sellers list!
