Love the phone, great features, fast, very good battery life and excellent screen quality
Went from Blackberry to Samsung and now finally back to this Blackberry. Love the fact that it runs android, which made my life very easy when transferring my contents from my old Samsung S4 to this one. The phone is pretty fast, smooth and very easy to manage with Blackberry Hub, which gathers all your email, text, call, messenger, whatsapp and facebook notifications in one place. The sound is simply amazing, great bass and surround effect even while using bluetooth. The battery life is also very good. I use it a lot, keep getting too many calls and messages a day and it still manages to keep its charge for close to 2 days. The only minor con for me was the touch was not as smooth and sensitive as my Samsung, but it is not too bad. The keypad is a great plus for those with small fingers, ... Overall I would say it is a great buy and definitely worth it.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : NeufVendu par : cell-force
Reliability and security of BB but the fun features of Android
Finally went back to BB with a keyboard after having many without (with the last one being the Z10). This phone has the reliability and security of it being a BB, but with the capacity of running Android and getting to download all the fun apps...that unfortunately BB has been left out of most of the time. The size is a bit bigger than I'm used to, and the weight is a bit on the heavy side, but it feels like a very well made and solid phone. The battery takes a bit to charge (maybe I'm a bit on the impatient side?!). I bought the slide case to go with it, and everything works perfectly together. It's a very good looking phone, and received many compliments on it : ) I'm very happy with this purchase and will keep this phone for quite some time...cheers to BB to finally making a fully ... Okay...I'm adding to my original review: I had to change it from 5 to 4 stars because of the charging. It's not me...it's super S-L-O-W!!! Seems like I have to have to leave it plugged in and charging when I'm not using it because it takes HOURS to charge!!!! Just giving you "all" a heads up...that part of the phone is disappointing : (Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : Remis à neufVendu par : amazing-wireless
PRIV impressions
I would have to keep using this for a while to really have any insight. For now the things I'm getting used to: 1) the size is like a Galaxy note or something, a huge leap from my old Blackberry, I had to buy a new tool pouch just to fit it when I'm at work; 2) Android is pretty annoying, like Windows it always needs your attention for some notification or update, but I'm trying to take a more active role in raising my phones, I guess; 3) the one thing they really messed up in my mind is they half-assed the phys keyboard! Why does anybody buy a Blackberry? Obviously not for the OS in this case! But now when my fingers brush across the keys searching for the next letter because I'm trying to type one-handed, it moves the cursor around without my intention, and I've gotta go back to the ... But now when my fingers brush across the keys searching for the next letter because I'm trying to type one-handed, it moves the cursor around without my intention, and I've gotta go back to the touchscreen to re-position, and inserting the cursor right where you want it is tricky with this OS, like I guess you need to swipe the keyboard to finely position it, but I think the whole arrangement defeats the purpose, like I don't want the buttons to do anything unless I "click". Tragic. But what a steal, this was a $700 phone just a few months ago. Vendor was great.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : NeufVendu par : qualitycellz
The jury is still out
This Blackberry is very unlike the user friendly Q10 as it is not compatible with the Blackberry desktop software used to back up phone contents. The calendar function does not store completed appointments resulting in no tracking history being stored, Battery life appears to decline at about 4-5% per hour and compared to the Q10 seems relatively slow to recharge. Although font sizes can be changed in the settings, the "desktop" screen fonts are still quite small. I admit that I haven't fine tuned the instrument yet and I'm hoping to reduce the power draw of the many pre-loaded apps. It will take a while to learn the Android ways... Particular phone for particular people (ie, slide-out keyboard fans)
I love this phone!! This is why: -Slide out keyboard! With keys that light up and you can change the color of the light with certain keyboard programs. -Big screen that is curved at the edges with a quality display -Thin so that it feels like I'm holding a web page in my hands -Fast (I rarely wait for things to load) -Haven't had an issue with space yet -The edge Blackberry hub is useful -Some nice design components: the back of the phone is made of a rubbery, nice feeling material, and the edge display when it is charging looks super cool. -I switched from iPhone to Android and so far, LOVE Android. Primarily, I like having more control. What I don't like: -It seems to heat up pretty easily if you're running certain programs, then has issues with freezing up -The MMS issue: this is ... Primarily, I like having more control. What I don't like: -It seems to heat up pretty easily if you're running certain programs, then has issues with freezing up -The MMS issue: this is well known, idk why Blackberry hasn't fixed it yet. But there are problems receiving MMS and group texts. This can be "fixed" by using the text program Textra. But still unacceptable by Blackberry that there is no fix yet. -Battery runs out quickly out of the box. If you use programs like IFTTT to turn off wifi when you're out and don't keep the screen on super bright, etc. it will last much longer. If you've got the screen on constantly, it will die fast. -Camera is not as good as iPhone (but decent) -Comes with a lot of software that I don't want or use. Still haven't run out of space though so it's more of an annoyance than a major problem. -You can find it here for cheaper than retail, but the retail price is very expensive given it's got the MMS issue, an average battery, and inferior camera. Basically, you are paying for this phone's badass slide-out keyboard and nice looking design and screen. I am totally happy with that and I still prefer it to my old iPhone. If you don't care about camera, willing to set up stuff yourself to get it running smoothly, this is a great phone.Achat vérifié : OuiÉtat : OccasionVendu par : theimpalaguy1968
