Angela Lansbury stars as Jessica Fletcher, a widowed mystery writer who stumbles across a murder in each episode, and cleverly deduces who the criminal is before anyone else can. Much of the viewer's pleasure comes from investigating the crime along with Jessica, and from Lansbury's charming portrayal of the amateur sleuth, a role for which she received an astonishing 12 Emmys. MURDER, SHE WROTE also broke new ground by being one of the very first (and still one of the few) American television programs to feature an older woman in the lead role. MURDER, SHE WROTE - THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON contains all 22 episodes from the show's sophomore year, featuring performances by stars including Jerry Orbach, Adrienne Barbeau, Dick Van Patten, and Carol Lawrence.

    Love the plots and scenery.

    I have enjoyed every episode. Jessica always says and does the perfect thing. She's bright, funny, really plays the part well. So do the other characters. And it is always filmed in a beautiful location. My favorite are the Cabot Cove episodes. Makes me wish I lived there.

    Great entertainment.

    A continuation of a tv series that is easy on the heart, a "cozy mystery" with with fun and endearing main characters and a sprinkle of sometimes villainous guest stars. I hope to be able to purchase all the episodes. I can watch them over and over and not be bored.

    Jessica Fletcher Is back At It In Season 2.

    I have to say that I am a huge MSW fan, I grew up on this series as a teenager. Some seasons were better than others, but this season isn't that bad. If you like series such as Matlock, Hunter, Diagnosis Murder, or Hart to Hart U will like this. I have to say this season wasn't as good as the first season, but it still has pull. To this day I still like to watch this show, because they don't make T.V. like this anymore.

    Good Show

    Very popular TV show, sometimes not the best story/plot, not worth following. But great deal! Bought it for my great aunt, she likes the majority of the episodes. Only reason I gave 4 stars was due to slight damage on the corners of the DVD box. But I can't remember what condition the box set was listed at. But not a huge deal anyways!

    A Longtime Favorite

    I LOVED this show as a little girl in the 80’s, and enjoy it even more now that I am grown! The character of J.B. Fletcher is terrific; Rarely (back then OR now) is a female lead portrayed as believably as Mrs. Fletcher is- Many other shows I might’ve otherwise enjoyed have been ruined by placing a ridiculously behaved and attired woman in the lead role! That her two closest friends happen to be gentlemen (with none of the “underlying sexual tension” that is a constant in other shows) is also a pleasant addition. The guest appearances are a delight- So many fantastic actors and actresses spanning decades of tv and film! A wonderful show I can watch with anyone, Murder She Wrote is a true gem.
