I didn’t need the handlebar inserts and the mirrors screwed directly into my husky handlebars after I took off the bar end weights. Tested on a 100 mile trip and they stayed firm with no vibration and are much better than the original mirrors which only show my elbows! Not sure if all the screws are stainless steel, but I have been impressed with this product which was delivered quickly
