Excellent Cleaning Tool
I already have one of these (for 9 years) and this is a backup in case the cleaning tool wears out. I did test the new one and it is extremely similar to the old one and cleans as well (so the old one is not doing bad at all). I get videos and cds from my local library and they are often heavy with fingerprints and smudges. This works like a dream on them-restoring them to near-new status. It does NOT fix scratches but that is not unusual for a simple cleaning tool. Excellent tool to have for heavily used and abused items.I already have one of these (for 9 years) and this is a backup in case the cleaning tool wears out. Keeps Discs Clean (may do more)
I have owned the early production for many, many years. Works like a charm. My original came with CD player lens cleaning tool while new ones do not. I just purchased 4 more for an experiment assigning each a different color coded polishing abrasive. I have some CDs' that skip from scratches and I wish to see if this can remove them and restore to like new. Have not tried yet but will report when done. Used to have access to diamond polishing pastes which I am having difficulty locating.I have owned the early production for many, many years. Works like a charm. Good unit for cleaning your disks.
This CD/DVD cleaner is one of the only ones on the market that you operate manually. You need to get some CD/DVD cleaning spray to use this without scratching your disks but it's not hard to find. This unit is well made and should last for years. I keep mine in a quart size zip lock bag along with fluid from another product that didn't work well. Just remember that this device cleans your disks. It won't take out scratches but if you are careful with your disks that won't be a problem.This CD/DVD cleaner is one of the only ones on the market that you operate manually. Flimsy brittle plastic
It works to a degree, but is very flimsy brittle plastic and I am afraid it will break soon. I had one of these that lasted about 10 years, but it was way more heavy duty plastic. I hope I get at least some time out of it before it falls apart in my hand. Yes it is that bad.. The hubby tried it and said, forget it. I will break it for sure. You'd better be the only one who uses it.

Categories above w/ yes no answers… not 5 star choices good to bad like feedback. All categories mediocre. Flimsy plastic, can not apply elbow grease. Worked okay on a barely scratched disc.… Have not tried it on a severely scratched disc (from the public library). … I suspect it will not be too effective—but haven’t tried it yet, to be fair.
