Works just like advertised - exact replacement for existing - satisfied customer.
I bought this item to replace the existing pressure switch on my Central Pneumatics 4 gallon pancake compressor. The compressor is about 20 years old and the original switch had never worked right. With the original switch pushed to the "off" position the compressor would still often run. Should have addressed this years ago but I just put up with it. The new switch is an exact replacement for the original and it works perfectly. It shuts off the compressor at 100 psig, and when pushed to the "off" position it clicks into place and stays there. It is supposed to have adjustable shut-off pressure over a range of 95-120 psig, but there were no instructions on how to make this adjustment - this is no big deal to me since I am OK with the 100-psig shutoff pressure. Made cheep but works with mods
Was very close replacement. ONLY: No way to attach ground wire on both sides. I had to drill hole bigger and use self tapping screws (Not provided). Threads on plastic nuts holding wires to unit are different than original unit nuts. So, you can't just use the old ones that are probably still good. Not a big deal, but nut size on aluminum casting, on this unit is smaller than original. Contact points look cheep. They work, but for how long? Worked well. the only problem I had with the install was the ground wire holes were not tapped. I had to drill them and use short metal screws
