      Engrossing

      I bought this because I remembered the character Mouse's pistol as being a truly ugly, minimalistic, held together with screws, functional revolver (Webeley VI), and I wanted to admire it. I also enjoyed the character Mouse. It's early Denzel, and it's got Don Cheadle, and it's got a fight scene in which Denzel is slowly, slowly, losing. Nicely done genre picture, with lots of actors I enjoy seeing, well presented.

      Devil in a Blue Dress is a great mystery

      The story is filled with plenty of characters that make the story very entertaining. It has an excellent supporting cast for Denzel Washington. The acting is superb. This movie is good old fashion entertainment.

      Makes sense only after you've seen the movie and you should see the movie.

      An unusual Noir Movie not at all as one might expect. It might not be allowed to be made in today's Neo-Puritan PC environment. Great depth of story and fine acting from Denzel Washington and Don Cheedle. The turn of the Background of the Plot, where History of a Region (Cajun Lousiana) is generally not known, works where a Turn of Story such as found in "Chinatown", might not. This is a very fine movie.

      Love Denzel Washington

      I love almost every movie Denzel has made. This was one of his earlier flicks. It takes place in Los Angeles where I grew up. The plot is intelligent and keeps my attention. Ive probably watched this flick four times. Highly recommended.

      A very good film set in 1940s Los Angeles throwback to film noir. Starring Denzel Washington as a out of work former soldier who finds himself. Caught up in a search for a woman with connections to a prominent politician.
