        Great Band CD, one bothersome scratch

        The CD was of generally good quality, but there seems to be one circular scratch right on selection 11 that keeps one of my CD players from playing that track. But my computer could read it, so I burned it onto another CD. The CD was from a library, so I was surprised that was the only problem. The selections on the CD are of course great if you like The Band, but not everyone does. I do, so I'm happy with it.

        MOFI Music from Big Pink

        This is as clear and clean as I have ever heard this recording and if that is what your looking for I would highly recommend it. MOFI does a great job remastering from original masters and this is no exception! I do think you lose some warmth and depth of sound stage compared to the vinyl but it is still the 1b go to release of this album. Let’s be honest, sometimes you just don’t want to get up and flip records.

        YOU MUST HAVE THIS OR YOUR COLLECTION IS INCOMPLETE !

        A pink painted house up in Woodstock, NY (the town, not the show) where they started in addition to Bob Dylan ,can't get any better. Check out the "Basement Tapes" too.

        Great price on a great album with free shipping

        First of all, it's an epic album by "The Band"...Music From Big Pink...cellar tapes made by the Canadian American band that backed up Ronnie Hawks and Bob Dylan...moody, ethereal, and totally musical unlike any other artists of the day

        Great intro to what would become a significant music sound from the 60s

        Great album early band music ...harmonies are pure with a sort of innocence in a new rock 'n roll sound...they were developing an identity which would define TheBand....
