    Tape Two!

    Installed the 8" on my vehicle today and it's great! I prepared the balancer by sanding it down with a Scotch pad and then two coats of satin black paint. Make sure that you prep yours before mounting the new tape or it may not adhere tight enough! The tape stuck great and made getting the exact timing a snap!!! I'm sure that the extra ones will come in handy for another project.

    If your old car doesn't have a timing mark in the correct location buy one of these!

    I have a 1964 Chevy Belair that has a harmonic balancer that has turned. That happens and normally means its about time to replace it. Not worth the investment right now but with this tape I can find "top dead center" on the number 1 piston on the 348 I'm rocking and get the tape in position. I will be taking a chisel and marking the current positions because the tape wont last on this old part. If I were able to pull the balancer off of the engine and clean it up to apply the tape it would be different but its more important that I get it set currently than go that far.

    Good product and price better than other sellers

    I used the strip designed for 6.75 balancer. Installation was very easy, and my corners are not peeling at this point. Timing was able to be read very easily with a zero mark timing light.

    would buy again.

    good product but the glue on the tape is not strong enough to hold the tape on the balancer for a long period of time.i used a spray adhesive on the balancer then applied the tape.

    easy to see timing tape

    priced right, degree scale is easy to read, it sticks well to dampener but i used some Clear spray paint for insurance
