Toyota OEM Hitch Installation
GREAT Product! This was so easy to install... The fact is Toyota does all the work for you. The wiring harness was run from the factory, so all I had to do was plug in the connector, mount the hitch (Provided Bolts) and the lighting connector. I did have to remove the rear bumper, but that was also very simple... There are quite a few YouTube videos on how to remove the bumper. The most difficult thing was un-coupling the backup sensor, which is on the driver's side -rear... My 2014 FJ Cruiser only has one back up sensor you have to unplug... they both come down the driver side. Many you tube videos tell you there are couplings on both sides... I think Toyota got smart! Anyway - took me about 45 minutes to install. Glad I didn't pay the dealership to install it!GREAT Product! This was so easy to install... The fact is Toyota does all the work for you. The only way to go
You can't beat the OEM quality and fit, packaging was great, and super fast ship. Painted trim for trail teams edition using SEM bumper product, looks great.

If you are adding a hitch to your FJ this is the best way tom go by far . As other reviews have stated the wiring is super easy compared to other aftermarket hitches , just plug in converter under dash and pigtail in rear and you are done . The hitch itself has 6 bolts and a nice clean look ,rather than hanging down below the bumper . Even comes with the bumper flashing and a bracket that mounts the plug secure . This is a really nice setup .If you are adding a hitch to your FJ this is the best way tom go by far . Includes everything needed
First of all this kit has everything you need. The only thing that made the install a bit of a pain was the 6 hitch bolts since the threaded holes in the chassis can get dirty and rusty especially if you live in a snowy area. So definitely recommend getting a 12x1.25 Tap to clean up the threads, being careful not to strip the threads after when torqueing down the bolts.

Tow Hitch 2014 FJ Cruiser
Hitch and wiring harness arrived as stated. Installation went rather quickly. Only thing I would change would be that the hook-up wire should be about 8-10 inches longer to get closer to hitch. Now will have to get extension or rewire trailer. Loved plug in for electrical components. Way better than running wires and connections to battery like after market harnesses.
