Whiten Those Sheets
I grew up in England, where electricity is expensive and clothes dryers are rare. We always dried our laundry outside on a washing line, and my mother's sheets and pillowcases were the whitest down our street. It took years of using a clothes dryer to realize the secret was drying things out in the sun. I live in a condominium, with nowhere to set up a washing line, and bylaws that control having things visible on patios and balconies that detract from the attractiveness of the surroundings. This collapsible drying line allows me to hang my whites outside for as long as it takes to dry them (we live in Arizona, so it only takes an hour) and spirit everything away with no trace. The unit is sturdy and easy to set up. Being aluminum, it's lightweight enough for me to carry in and out ... I grew up in England, where electricity is expensive and clothes dryers are rare. Solar, wind, fresh-air efficient
This was something I used 40 years ago and then my uptight suburban neighborhood outlawed clotheslines and these too. That was before anyone realized about global warming and when energy was much cheaper. It's a simple first step for which you need no batteries, wires, panels, or turbines. And it folds away when you are done, so you don't have to look at it if you don't want to.

Well.....It works for small things.
I bought this so I again can hang my wash outside. It was different then the last one I had. The lines go around in a spiderweb like design therefore making the lines closest to the center upright pole pretty much useless. My last one I had, the lines went back and forth therefore, providing more hanging space. My second complaint is that, after you dig the hole, put the receiver in the ground, and place the upright pole in, the lines are barely 4 feet off the ground. Sure this is convenient for shorter people (by the way I'm 5'8") but, you can't hang out bedsheets unless you fold them up, drop across multiple line, or let them drag on the ground. Kind of defeats the purpose of washing them if they are laying on the ground. I thought about buying an extension pole and weighted ... I bought this so I again can hang my wash outside. instant clothes line
I've had this a while but wouldn't use it due to construction next door and lots of dust and dirt everywhere. Finally, I got the opportunity to install the line. As it says, it is easy to pop the ground socket into the ground, insert the tree and wah-lah....you have a nice clothes line at your fingertips. My only issue with the product was, we assumed the ground socket would come with a pointed tip to ease the socket installation. Well it didn't! The ground socket is tubular plastic with a plastic piece in the bottom that only hindered inserting it into the ground. No kidding. You could pound it till the cows come home and it's just not going any further. I mean, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out that it's going to resist the ground force while pounding it ... Surly not thru the plastic covering in the bottom of the tube. So, it just "bounced" as we tried forcing it into the ground. All efforts exhausted, I finally got a shovel, dug a hole and inserted the ground socket to where I wanted it to go normally, had that been an option.....and I got it in the ground. Only problem now is, the ground around it was compromised therefore is weak and loose and doesn't substantiate the weight of the pole into the socket. You know....it would have been much easier for the manufacturer to just put a pointed tip at the bottom of the socket for ease of installation, then this all could have been avoided. So today I installed two wood shims to help support the socket until the ground hardens up enough for self support. Overall....it's nice, portable, convenient and yes, I do recommend it.

Umbrella Clothesline of good quality and exactly what I was looking for.
Clothesline was easy to set up . I carefully read directions about placement in ground with provided plastic sleeve to have the rotating pole. Also please read directions on opening clothesline so there are no problems. Very simple to do. Getting help to place in ground was my ordeal but thankfully a neighbor helped me out.
