However, you mentioned the manufacturer is handling the replacement and requested that I cover the shipping costs, which I feel is unfair, given that I’ve already committed to sending a replacement as soon as it’s available.

I could see in the pictures that it had 2 cables, so I thought there was some extension cable. It appears the other cable is an identical camera, but is damaged. I do not understand how an item that is listed as "new - open box", could possibly have an extra camera assembly which is bad. These units are available used for as little as $40 used from other sellers. I may have paid too much as I chose this unit over some units sold at a lower price.
